I have had the pleasure of photographing Amanda’s pack of Xolos and Wolfhounds over the years, and with Bubba, an American Hairless Terrier joining her family two weeks ago, it was time for another photoshoot!
Bubba is still getting used to the world, was timid to the new environment and with limited obedience training, he was unsure what his expectations were. To overcome this, we worked at his pace, keeping Amanda close (Amanda and leash removed in the final images). When he needed a break to process the world, we sat down and let him settle, and when he needed a confidence boost, we let him watch me photograph another one of Amanda’s dogs, to demonstrate the pose and simplicity of our expectations.
With that- he did WONDERFUL! We were able to create a gallery of images with urban and garden environments, as well as group shots with Amanda’s other dog. I know with time, he’ll adjust to his new lifestyle and he’ll be a super star for his future photoshoots!
These were a few of my favorites from his photoshoot!
PS: I’ll be offering mini photoshoots for the 2026 National Premier in Kalmazoo, Michigan. Be in touch to schedule your photoshoot!
