Izzy and Chicco’s horse and rider photoshoot at Grazing Field Farms in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts, was the last photoshoot during my New England trip for equine and canine photography.
Izzy wanted to keep her images simple, with her black horse being strikingly handsome next to her white outfits, with greenery and fences as our backgrounds. With this request, we photographed along the rail of the arena, and along two different driveways that wove throughout the property toward the barn. This kept my job simple, as I only had to locate the lighting, choose the position that was best balanced for the poses, and then harmonize the poses with both their powerful and strong relationship as competitors in the arena, and the softer and more emotional side of their bond on the ground.
We also added in an Equine Portrait Session for Chicco, choosing a black background to emphasize his unique face marking.
