Gianna & Sam, Horse & Rider Posing Guide Photoshoot
Gianna and the horses she works closely with, kindly offered to assist for any modeling needs I had when completing my Horse & Rider Photoshoot Posing Guide. This included photographing horses and their riders in flatting and not so flattering poses, to have visual demonstrations of how to properly pose people and horses for professional photos.
We spent a lot of time laughing through this session, as we were trying to pose Gianna and her horse in the most awkward, cringeworthy poses. Her horse was convinced we lost our marbles, but they allowed us to carry on with our shenanigans.
Following the bad posing photos, we spent quality time capturing beautiful portraits of Gianna and her horses throughout the Wellington Florida property, and then changed gears to photograph Gianna with her two dogs and hubby.
So many equestrians get professional photos from shows, but few invest in capturing the bond with their horse at home, where the dream is born and built. This is where I thrive as an equine photographer, spending time capturing the emotional moments between horses and riders. To me these moments are most important, because without this kind of bond and dedication together, riders will never be successful in the ring or at shows.
It’s why creating the Horse & Rider Photography Posing Guide, and meaningful collection of stunning images for Gianna, has been so important to me. These were a handful of the GOOD images from their photoshoot.
