Melanie & Moses
I had the pleasure of spending an evening photographing a horse and rider session with Melanie and her Spotted Saddle Horse, Moses, at the Whispering Pines Hidden Hills barn in Dorr, Michigan. The equestrian spirit has been alive throughout many generations of her family, but this is Melanie's first horse, making the bond that much more meaningful, and the photoshoot to remember this chapter of her life, that much more valuable.
These were a handful of photos of their photoshoot together, including candid moments around their barn and round pen, posed portraits throughout the property, her horse at liberty in the arena, and a few group photos that included her mom - who was wonderfully kind to help groom and assist during the photoshoot.
