If you haven’t had professional photos in the past 3 years, you’re OVERDUE for a photoshoot! Especially if your life includes a horse or dog. Their lives are so much shorter than ours, and every chapter of your lives together, is imported to have documented.
Because- unfortunately- at the end of the day, all we have left are the photos we made an effort to capture.
Meaghan and Erwin have had a long relationship inside and outside of the dressage arena, and with some health scares (we are all praying are nothing to be concerned over), it was important to create these images while time allows.
We started off photographing Erwin’s Equine Portraits against both a textured background and a black background, capturing both the classic and more luxurious poses, showing off his personality and beauty. These poses are photographed with fine art in mind, allowing each image to make a big statement when enlarged and hung in the home, or several images displayed together to tell a story.
We then ventured throughout the arenas and landscaping to photograph all power shots, formal portraits, and candid moments that make their bond unique. It was the perfect time of day, when the sun rays get longer and turn to gold, and the tall bamboo and palms give off epic bokeh effects behind them.
They were a joy to work with, and I knew within 15 minutes, that the time we had before the sun gave way to the moon, wasn’t going to be enough time for me to capture everything I wanted with them. There was endless possibility, and I have been dreaming about returning to Marcus Fyffee Dressage, to photograph them again. My November 2025 trip back to Wellington, Florida, can not come soon enough!
