I usually top out the year with 20,000 miles driven for the business, so navigating winding roads, narrowed and “patched” after being washed out, sheer cliff drop offs, deafening cicadas, raging people on our bumper, and no cell service… well… let’s just say the route through West Virginia and Ohio to Saddle Ridge Farm was VERY memorable.

Thankfully, we rounded the millionth turn, up another switch back, and to the oasis of Saddle Ridge Farm! Set high up on the hilltop, we stepped out to be greeted by Janna, her quarter horse Electirc Jac, and her rat terrier, Elbee.

We photographed Equine Portraits against a black background, before exploring the beautiful farm property, capturing an array of their memories together, using his stall door, pastures, the driveway to the carriage house, and the outdoor arena. All with beautiful backdrops of the tree covered mountains around us, reminding me very much of the time I spent learning to ride in Maine.
