If we aren’t curled up at home, sipping coffee and getting a jump on the office work, we are at the beach, ready to greet the sun as it comes over the dunes and reflects across the blue waters of the lake. Even though the sun rises behind us, it is still the best time to be on the beach. With the beach to ourselves and no worries of strange dogs, Winston can run off leash and be as Andy would say, as “Spaz-tastic” as he wants! We work on our recalls and off leash heeling in-between romps through the beach grass and digging holes in the sand to get drinks of water.
Some days I worry he doens’t spend enough time with other dogs, but when he smiles at me during adventures like these, the worry fades away.
He is a happy puppy.
Winston gets very concerned when I wade into the waves. He’ll splash in puddles and swim through flooded trails, but someone once told him the tale of the Lochness Monster and now he refuses to swim in our lake!
