Throughout the year I work with several barns to set up a day where their trainers, boarders, students, and friends can come to the barn and have photographs taken at a discounted rate! These packages include digital images and a print package, and often times allow those who want professional photographs taken year around to receive them at a discounted rate!
For the students who fall in love with their lesson horse, these are a great way to remember your favorite horse and the bond that grew over many, many lessons in the sun, rain, and snow, and through all of those unforgetable shows!
For the trainers, it presents an opportunity to capture personal photographs, professional photographs for advertising or sale use, as well as a documentation of training progress!
I have offered these discounted days for Wild Ivy Farm for years. It’s been wonderful to be able to photograph Cassie and her horses over time, to meet new students and boarders, and to photograph the lesson ponies with their favorite students. A few of the lesson ponies, who I learned to ride on over a decade ago, are still teaching new students how ride, and for some ponies, teaching the students how to steer and hang on! It is always special for me to be able to visit with my favorite ponies and to photograph them over the years.
