Let me start off with saying, I love photographing these two!
I have had the pleasure of photographing Hannah and her Quarter Horse, Mack, several times every year and I always come home excited about the beautiful images we created together. Some photoshoots we plan ahead, knowing exactly which order we’ll be photographing black backgrounds, at liberty, under saddle, formal portraits, and connection shots, and we know what exact photos we want to capture. Other times, the photoshoots are spur of the moment and focus more on the bond Hannah has with her handsome horse Mack.
This day brought me to Paramount Performance Horses in Lowell, MI., to photograph Hannah’s mom, Mickey, and her new horse, Tug! In the excitement of photographing Mickey and Tug, we didn’t plan on photographing Hannah and Mack, but I couldn’t resist the opportunity to capture their smiles. Mack popped in and out of Tug’s photoshoot, and then when Tug was finished, we spent the warm afternoon photographing Hannah playing with Mack.

We were having so much fun that I lost track of time and was almost late to my next photoshoot!! I left still wishing I was in the arena photographing Hannah and Mack, and I am even more excited for our next photoshoot together! Here are a few of my favorites from our time together.
