During my travels throughout the USA for equine and canine photoshoots, I will often fill last minute openings with personal or portfolio building photoshoots. While I was in photographing in Lexington Kentucky, I had the opportunity to fit in Natalie and her smooth coated collie, Banks, at the The Arboretum, State Botanical Garden of Kentucky.

We were exploring the gardens in the golden lighting of the morning, enjoying the quietness of the pathways that wove through the colorful beds, and greeting the endless bunny rabbits that dance in the dewy grass.

It was wonderful to work with a breed I haven’t had the pleasure of photographing yet, to scout a new location for future canine photoshoots, and to create a new collection of portraits for Natalie to enjoy for decades to come. These were a handful of photos we captured of Banks!
