Callie and her horse Franky, from Berryfield Dressage, were wonderful models during a private mentorship I recently taught to another aspiring equine photographer. The focus of this mentorship was learning how to pose horses and riders, while telling their unique story, on a new property, with harsher lighting. And boy - were there endless opportunities to photograph Callie and Franky, throughout this beautifulWellington, Florida property!

I really enjoy teaching, but my mind was on FIRE during this photoshoot, wanting to photograph it all, but needing to slow down to ensure the student’s needs came first. I always want to ensure the student can soak up as much knowledge as possible and have time to practice the newfound skills, so any additional coaching or direction needed, can be provided.

These were a handful of photos I was able to capture of Callie and Franky, in between the teaching moments.
